If you can, try to include some filtering options – especially if you sell clothing or other items which come in different sizes and price ranges! This helps users to narrow down their search and makes it more likely that they will buy from you.
It is important also to allow visitors to make a purchase easily and quickly. This means limit the amount of hurdles they have to cross to make their purchase! By all means encourage them to set up an account with you, but be mindful that doing so before the transaction means they are more likely to quit the process out of frustration!
